At Tanya’s Antwerp, we are committed to conducting business with social and environmental responsibility. As members of the Responsible Jewellery Council, the Antwerp World Diamond Centre, and the Natural Diamond Council, we uphold the highest standards in human rights, labor rights, environmental impact, and product disclosure.
We strive to maintain a code of practice that adheres to the global standard for the responsible jewellery industry, one that focuses on business ethics and responsible supply chains. In addition, all our suppliers must adhere to our Business Partner Code of Conduct and complete our Supplier Due Diligence form as part of our supply chain risk assessment.
This ensures the integrity of the modern diamond jewelry industry and inspires, educates and protects the consumer.
As a responsible diamond supplier, we conduct due diligence and take responsibility for the full value chain of diamonds, from mine to finger. We source diamonds only from non-conflict regions such as Botswana and Canada, where the local economy and lives of the locals have benefited from the diamond trade.
We always strive to maintain a code of practice that is adherent to the global standard for the responsible jewellery industry, one that focuses on business ethics and responsible supply chains. The code of practices we follow are highlighted in the following documents, along with our annual review meeting findings. RJC COP GUIDELINES.
We believe that luxury should be sustainable, and we are dedicated to ensuring that our diamonds are ethically sourced and responsibly mined. Our commitment to sustainability is not just a part of our business, but a part of who we are as a company
An important way we ensure that we uphold our responsibilities as members of these organizations is by sourcing diamonds that originate from NON-conflict regions such as Botswana and Canada. In these regions, the local economy and life of the locals has benefited from the diamond trade. Below is a video that depicts the positive social impact diamond companies such as Tanya’s Antwerp can have when they source their diamonds responsibly.
In addition to our commitment to responsible diamond sourcing, we also take an active role in addressing social and environmental issues beyond our operations. We support various initiatives that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Some of our social responsibilities towards society include:
- Oxygen supply to neo-natal babies at maternal hospitals in India
- Winter supplies for students in Indian villages that included gloves and sweaters, caps and woolen socks
- Creation of man-made watering holes in the buffer zones of Tadoba National Park.
- Building of kennels for stray dogs and orphaned puppies in India
Sweaters and gloves donated to students for the winter, in remote villages in India.
